Sorry, but I don't see this as sufficient reason against political aspirations. The best technology does not often win.

Now this I like. It means, if I am not reading the schedules wrong, CDMA2000 will have 30 month lead. But again, how loudly one can yell and how much financial and political backing there is for each side can play just as big of a role.

Well, it shouldn't. But my premise was that China will try and may (unjustly) push the issue or at least use hard ball tactics to lower its payments. I admit I am not as knowledgeable about the issues as I should be, which is why I am discussing it. It is just that I cannot see any other motive in creating TD-SCDMA than trying to low ball QCOM. Do you?
