I haven't tried to look at the planets

From my experience (a decade of teaching a intro Astronomy class) says Saturn will "blow you away".

Nice to hear from you, clappy....
Been doing good. Much of my interest in astronomy comes from the beautiful skies we get here. I haven't received my scope yet. Should be here soon.

Here's a great map to check your light pollution: inquinamentoluminoso.it
Looks like you don't have far to go for good skies.

In the morning, when walking, you can see Mars. It's to the right of Venus and up a little. It's in a kinda straight line between Venus and a bright star called Antares. It's a little closer to Antares. It's small and not very bright right now. Should be anywhere from orange to amber. Depends on the conditions both here and there. By Aug. 27th, it should be almost as big as Jupiter.

Been rootin for the market to go down. Actually been hoping for a hard drop...at least that would fuel some kind of sustainable rally for a while. Unfortunately, we're just bleeding down. Mr. Buffet's opinion seems to verify my outlook. Also is looking like MrPrechter of elliot wave may be right. Hate to see things get that bad. Hate to think that all Bush has and will do to help the economy, won't help. We might just have to see it get real bad before things turn.
