The figures I sent you were posted by the government and if you understood the business and how they were made up in the 70's using both interstate and intrastate prices you would understand why the average prices in the 70's are different from the average prices today.

The chart I sent you also shows that prices peeked in 1983 and were as high then as they were the last time we saw NG at 10.00 per Mcf in 2000 and 2001.

How do you get prices not higher than $1 from this schedule?

If you recall Columbia Gas filed for chapter 11 a few years back , because they had signed all these high dollar gas contract for the life of the wells. They filed for chapter 11 and renegotiated most their contracts.
