1. It is ALWAYS easier to use FPGA;

2. It isn't always cheaper in the long run;

3. Moore's Law makes FPGAs cheaper and ASICS startup costs more expensive;

4. PLDS annual revenues are ~$2B/year, while ASICS are ~$20B/year(?);
