Yes and they have attempted to dilute traditional American values with immigration as the middle class has prospered to maintain their concept of government by dependency. The democrats that post here are for less typical of their party constituency than the republicans who post here, who are representative of republican voters. Democrat elitists are in many ways like cattle drivers.

I dont know any "lefties" who think or care about government programs as you are asserting. maybe you believe in a Limbaugh cliche that doesn't exist.

Everyone right or left works hard every day and tries to make money on their own. Only retirees and handicapped are recipients of anything but unemployment checks. Those are people of all parties and why would you have a problem with that?

As for welfare, it's very tough to get these days. There's not much in the way of "hand-outs" anymore, only to the most deserving. Actually we could use more in the case of struggling single mothers who have to choose to either work or stay home. They need daycare as well as health insurance.

I talked to a homeless guy last year and he told me there were no government programs left for him at all anymore unless he's a military veteran, which he wasn't. So this whole government hand-out to lefties thing is really inaccurate and unrealistic. The very poor dont even vote. Who knows what party they're in? But according to Bush, we all need to care about them, right? LOL
