How EXACTLY do you figure that Saddam is illegitimate? Awful and illegitimate are not the same thing. Because legitimate government is accountable to, and usually elected by, its citizens (in free and fair elections, not sham facades). Like a marriage between man and wife, there is a social contract between governed/ruled and governor/ruler. But a dictatorship/tyranny without accountability to its people is legitimate only in the most neanderthalic manner.. Like some caveman kidnapping his female, forcing sex upon her and declaring that everyone else recognize their relationship as a marriage.. So there's my answer... Do you have the guts to explain to us how you can justify Saddam's regime as a legitimate government?? Hawk
