Yiwu, I'm not bashing immigrants. I'm recent immigrant myself. People I mentioned didn't do anything illegal. They just applied for help and were granted it. That was four years ago when government had plenty of money and county bureaucrats were afraid that if they didn't spend the money they would lose their own jobs. >>
You are very correct here! I know one lady who got an MS in Social Studies (well, in those classes they just have potlucks, party mostly...any real good learning? I doubt it). Then she worked as social worker and I think her pay is even better (I think 50% more right now)than my brother in Silicon Valley who is EE engineer and works 15+ years. And what does this lady do? Well she just goes to visit immigrants who have some mental(?) or family problems and chit chat... That is it!
Too bad I should have taken 3 or 4 MS in social studies than an MS in engineering and worry for job loss all the time, and stress at work!
