I guessed so, Murdoch got started on that stuff and went on through a deal with Thatcher, as well as using the fact UK does not have any defined freedom nor limits of press. (especially in terms of utilizing the sex life and body parts of the UK royals, something UK liked a lot) Same strategy in USA, and with Newt (as with Thatcher) the final goal of the FOX channel. Btw, the reason "it was a 2-party mistake" that Thatcher got re-elected, power should "take turns", and as a compromise Major replaced her. (that is, the Murdoch media upset the election campaign at the last moment) Bad stuff, because the Tories have not recovered from it yet, Scotland kicked all of them out,etc..
