Did Bill Gates inherit his wealth? Did Paul Allen? How about Warren Buffet? Sam Walton? Ned Johnson?

Fact is, the vast majority of the top people earned their wealth. Even the Rapist Bill Clinton was born in the bottom rung and rose to become a multi-millionaire.

Which explains why Ted Kennedy thinks that the "rich" can "afford" higher taxes. What does he care? His trust officer is the one with the headache.

Nevetheless, you're statement about most rich people being inheritors is simply too general, and open to attack for sure.

Dell, Buffett, Gates, Allen... The richest of the Rich in this country, are all self-made. Ted Kennedy lacks the ambition to do what these men have achieved. Ted is the posterchild for a 100% estate tax.

Please provide a link to back up your assertion. I doubt that you are correct.
