When I was a sophmore in college in 1971 at Univ. of Illinois in Champaign, they started a $2 a semester PIRG tax with registration fees. You could get your $2 back after going to the administration building and signing a card and hopefully not wait in line.

It was a ripoff. To tax people to support a liberal or conservative agenda is unamerican.

I thought the courts had destroyed the tax. Obviously I was wrong.
