It comes down to this. People just aren't rational about politics. People have an emotional commitment to their political position and aren't objective about poltical issues. That's why traveling is such a great thing. It let's you step out of your humrum life and put things like poitics in perspective. I mean, someone from Australia would think all us Yanks are insane the way we go at each other over poltical issues that they could hardly care about.
