Well, I'm not naive and wasn't born yesterday. Like anything in life, the legal system is prone to flaws. It's run by humans after all. There are a certain percentage of people who are wrongly convicted. It's a fact that there's almost nothing we can do about. We can make the legal system the best it can possibly be, but there is still room for error since it's run by humans. That's why I don't believe in the death penalty. I'm sure innocent people have been put to death in states that use the death penalty often. What if it was you or someone you loved? How would you feel about our society and our justice system? Better to put convicted murders away for life than to risk killing innocent people in the name of blood lust.
