I think Central Illinois is pretty much Middle America. Yeah, if you think of America as a map. What I have in mind when I think of Middle America is not geographic but cultural. Apolitical, suburban soccer moms are Middle America, in my mind. Ish, you ain't no soccer mom. Not that either of us is right or wrong. Or that it even matters. I just found the difference in frame of reference interesting. My original statement was something about Middle America not wanting war. Most folks in Illinois may want war, but I very much doubt that soccer moms do, even those in Illinois.
