What a shame you won't actually read this........ with an open or even a closed mind. "He also adopted a multi-lateral foreign policy that was quite effective --> he actually listened to leaders from countries around the world and built coalitions..." Hmmmm..... effective? Clinton was good at telling everyone what they wanted to hear....... but how does your claim explain how the number & ferocity of terrorist attacks grew against the US globally during his Admin........ what about Clinton’s near non-response to each attack one even though he clearly promised to bring everyone involved to justice........ what about the demise & complete failure of the Israeli/Palestinian peace process that ended in the massive increase in suicide bombings...... what about the attacks on Bosnia, Kosovo & Haiti without building any coalition & not even going to the UN for approval. Where were the coalitions & highly successful multi-lateral foreign policies regarding these serious global issues? Sure he told us he was doing these noble things, but what came of it? Seems we got a lot of talk & ZERO action. No accords, more terrorism globally. More innocent people being slaughtered. And while all of this was going on, China, Iraq & North Korea made a complete mockery of his alleged successful foreign policies. "He was quite highly regarded overseas." Yup, he told everyone what they wanted to hear. When faced with problems he tried to appease & have endless dialog while rouge states continued their dirty deeds. France, Germany & Russia happily broke UN resolutions & made deals with Iraq that helped them rebuild their WMD. China & N Korea sold weapons & weapons technology to rouge states before, during & after Clinton was made aware of the problem. And Iraq went to France, Germany & Russia to rebuild his WMD. No wonder these leaders were quite happy with Clinton. "Bush has let all of us down...He ran as 'a moderate' and is governing from the HARD RIGHT " Well, that's what you say. And considering the left wing BS, lies & conspiracies you post constantly, it's no wonder you hold that clear misperception. FWIW, if 1/10 of that crap you post is true, even you would have packed up & left the country fearing for your life, liberty & the guaranteed apocalypses that would be sure to happen soon. "Bush has antagonized so many of our allies " After 9/11, Bush made it clear. You are with us, or you are against us. His job #1 is the safety & security of US citizens & US interests, regardless of who gets pissed off. Time will show who is really antagonized, who is with us & who may have something to hide regarding their dirty dealings with Iraq, N Korea, China, etc. "The Bush Doctrine of 'pre-emptively striking' is scary if you read the fine print " The problem is you have been reading some conspiracy theory fine print & left wing, hate filled propaganda & then you attribute it to Bush. Where is there ANY pre-emptive ANYTHING!!!!!!!!??????? How about some factual info showing precisely where all of this alleged pre-emption that has already occurred. "When campaigning Bush talked about 'a humble foreign policy'" Um..... that changed on 9/11. Job #1 took precedence...... protect US citizens & US interests first & foremost. "Of course I haven't even mentioned how a war could drive our fragile economy back into a recession...Is it really worth it...? " How many 9/11's are acceptable to you before you decide that playing kissy, kissy diplomacy with the UN, terrorist states, those states that harbor or supply terrorists & terrorist organizations doesn't work? Your great communicator Clinton should be proof positive that it was a complete failure. "IMO, he still HAS NOT made a strong case about why we have to go to war right now..." I think the Bush Admin has made a sound, factual, logical & reasonable case why Iraq is not going to meet their obligations & why Saddam is a real & present danger to US & regional interests. IF we go to war with Iraq, I sincerely want to hear your POV when the facts are exposed about what really was going on there & which countries had a vested interest in not having those facts made public.
