I think that the trin data as a standalone is not sufficient to come to any conclusion.

It seems that it can be anticipating strong selling that leads to an intermediate bottom in a couple of days, or it can signal the start of a new downtrend or it can be a bottom signal itself.

I am trying to locate tick date going back three years (HOD, LOD and close), but haven't found it yet. That will help me to form a conclusion.

However, today's tick was by no means extreme. It suggests to me that today was a distribution day, not a capitulation day. This would indicate more downside.

But again, I don't have all the information that I would like to form a solid conclusion.
