Tim,
The devaluation of Intel stock his a raw nerve. I clearly sympathize with you and your predicament. Hence I want to educate you, as is will save you lots (some) money.

In an effort to stem the dilution of Intel stocks, due to feasting by the Inner Circle Lunch Bunch and to a lessor degree by the current Intel employees, Intel has been pursuing a buy back program aimed at keeping the outstanding Intel stock at or around 6.6 billion shares.

Toward the effort of keeping the outstanding share pool of Intel stocks relatively constant, Intel has been spending about $1,000,000,000 per quarter buying stocks back on the open market. This money has come directly from the declared earnings. Simple mathematics means that 15 cents per quarter of the earnings per outstanding share is used just "spinning the wheels" to stay even.

When the investing public finds out that Intel earnings are virtually nil the stock will drop like a rock. Good luck!...humble carl
