LOL. What are you doing up so late (or early)?

At least I have an excuse.

That darn dog woke me up. He kept nudging me with his nose
and whimpering so I got up and took him out for a walk at
three in the morning. He just sort of looked around and
leasurely marked the mailbox post as his territory.

It's mighty quiet outside at three in the morning. I could
almost hear the clouds drift by up above me. The only real
noise I could hear was the feint sound of a diesel train
horn way off miles away perhaps on the other side of the
Hudson River.

Thought to myself how it must really suck to live near that
set of train tracks and hearing that noise at this hour.

My dog just stared at me sorta saying, what are we doing
out here in the cold?

So we went back inside. Then I came down here to the PC to
see if there were any new messages only to find that the
dog left me a present right next to my desk. Suddenly I
was well aware of why he didn't need to use the bathroom
outside. He was already finished. Seems that dog still
has things a bit confused. Apparently he thinks he's
supposed to notify me that he had to go out but couldn't
wait any longer. Next time I guess I'll just pull the
blankets over my head and take care of it in the morning...

It was nice to experience that sort of quiet out there
though. I don't get to hear quiet like that very often.
It was pleasant.

I guess every lump of crap has a silver lining.
