I actually agree with you regarding buying and selling signals should be ignored. Where my interest comes into play is in the outer ranges of the VIX. I think it'll be interesting to go back and look, later in the year, to see if an indicator such as the Bollinger Band could have been a good indicator that a top or bottom was put in, and did the BB track it accurately.

I'm in the process of getting my tax information together for the CPA. I had more capital gains than I thought I did. I had a good year, but my trading account was better than I thought since I was including retirement accounts in my totals for the year. Oh well, I suppose it's better to pay on gains than to charge off losses.
