So, you've identified another reason for Russia and China to oppose us on Iraq - they'd like to see US influence diminished. Congrats. Brilliantly insightful. Too bad those guys won't take any responsibility for the barking dog in their own back yard when it threatens neighbors who are friendly with the US.
