Remember the MALAISE of Bush Sr',s years, and "it's the economy stupid". You have a short memory. Wars stop recessions temporarily due to defense spending. We are actually in a much worse recession now without the war spending included. Leaving out military spending, Bush's economy has "no clothes".

So he was a little off, but the media back then wrote of a malaise, so he's ok with being 3 years and 4 months off concerning the length of the Bush Sr. recession, LOL. EOM
