Now you're referring to the bottom line, and no you are not supposed to use the low. I can make nearly any upwave look like a wedge if I use that point. I am referring to the top line which needs two points of contact.

It may be easier to get when you understand why wedges work. Here's a post trying to explain the dynamics, not sure if I explain it well here but hopefully the point is taken:
