The devaluation of Intel stock his a raw nerve. I clearly sympathize with you and your predicament. Hence I want to educate you, as is will save you lots (some) money. Is it just me, or do many of the recent posts in this vein sound a lot like some of the great "causes" floating around the internet out there to snap up the gullible. I read a real hoot of one the other day. Apparently some individuals unhappy with the price of gas at the pump thought it would be a good idea to set up a boycott day to force gas prices down to the more reasonable level of $1.30/gallon. I didn't have the heart to go through the analysis of all of the problems in the missive, but it's interesting to see the level of misunderstanding of the various markets by the layman. I've also seen a lot of "analysis" that "proves" Intel has had little to no profit over the past several years. Dan3 was perhaps the most prolific "voodoo earnings economist" there for a while, but now we apparently have a new "voodoo" champion. Carl, I'm sorry the stock went down. If the stock was still at $70 (or even at $45 for that matter), I'd have no debt and a huge piece of property. As it stands, the bubble burst. Nothing I can do about that, nothing you can do about that. There were a lot of upset people in 1929, 1930, 1931, etc. as well, but I can guarantee you the ones that pulled themselves together and succeeded in the late 30's and through the 40's weren't the ones who were whining about "how unfair it all is"...
