There is not likely to be an attack by Al Qaeda until Bush invades Iraq.

Then I think we see one IN the US within 7 days or so

Yes, I am worried about the whole thing. However – if we don’t go after them, they will attack us until we do. I see the Islamic extremists as old-fashioned revolutionaries, who use their fundamentalism as an ideology, which, they expect, will bring them to power in their countries. They want to be kings and rulers, presiding over the “re-invigorated” Islamic Republics.

In order to achieve this they need war and upheaval, which – as they expect – will radicalize Muslims all over he world. They attack us so we would go and attack them. One may ask, why should we do what they want us to do? Like in a game of chess, sometimes we may know what the opponent is trying to do – but, if he has the initiative, we may still have to play out the moves he forces us to play – with the intent of “outplaying” him some time down the road.

After so many years of us thinking we are invulnerable they are certainly still holding the initiative.
