Clinton was one of the most popular and successful presidents in history before the Monica scandal broke. To prove that, he went out of office with 60% approval ratings. Therefore he was a national hero and he fell (to a degree)

Bush has had high ratings since 9-11. IMHO Bush will leave office in 2004 with about 45% approval ratings. Once the election race begins and John Kerry (hopefully) shows and tells the American People what the Bush Administration has done to our well-being, I believe Bush will hit a low point. He will be unmasked. And moderates at least wil no longer want anything to do with him.

Even a quick successful Iraq War will not save Bush. Only an economic miracle or another 9-11 soon before the election can. But Bush may be planning to take out Iran too after Iraq. If both wars go well and people are dancing in the street perhaps then, but still only if the economy is recovering sharply.
