The problem is supply not demand. This normal to (some say colder than normal Winter) only brought the period of reckoning forward.

The excess gas is gone and not to be rebuilt any time soon.

The Lehman formula in the reports on Oilviews has proven to be accurate. But it is not a direct reading on demand, only the balance between supply and demand.

Hi Ed - The first part of your question, plus some near-real time tracking of actual use, is being done by Robry825 on the Yahoo CWEI board.

The price question is much more variable , and heavily influenced by beliefs ("A warm El Nino year" /" drilling response" / " reversion to mean") and emotions - like the recent panic in the NG market over the Feb. 22 weekend.

That Robley on Yahoo CWEI pretty well works this all out for us--as maybe someone else has posted.
