Any protest that the press aren't really liberal will stumble on these stories.

Not necessarily.

The conservative version of the story wouldn't have been newsworthy. There's nothing unusual or interesting about zealots of any stripe being excessive in their demonstrations. There's just no story there. OTOH, arresting someone simply for wearing a peace t-shirt is both unusual and terrible, therefore newsworthy.

So it may be liberal bias, as you suggest, or it may be simply news reporter bias toward focusing on the compelling story, aka, journalistic incompetence.

I just saw that the parties will be on CNN today. The price of the t-shirts turns out to be cheap when compared with ten minutes of fame. <g>

Perhaps the interviews will flesh out the story some more. We still don't know, I don't think, how much of the provocation to attribute to the father and son and how much to attribute to the patrons and to mall security. As I surmised yesterday, it turns out that the father and son were looking to protest and provoke. We don't know, however, if those who were offended were innocent victims or eager to rumble.

Where did you find a story that says those two guys wearing PEACE tee-shirts were confronting and provoking other patrons? Those two stories that were posted in which you responded to said nothing of that sort of thing. Where are you getting your information from? Please provide a link/source.

"We were just shopping. We were wearing these T-shirts. We weren't handing out leaflets, we weren't saying anything," Roger Downs recalled.
