<<<don't tell oofie i spent an hour and a half writing and editing this one liner.>>>

Shall we hide under the bed and whisper our differences? <g>

<<<i understand where you are coming from... and for the most part yours are valid rational ideas...>>>

Right! And its just those very butts that fascinate me....<g>

<<<mankind's rational, collective understanding is such a miniature, microscopic piece of the entire framework of the universe that i don't give it much weight. the universe does not revolve around, or because of, mankind or his rational, collective understanding. it's not irrelevant...it's just not numero uno in the grand scheme of existence. how do i know? why, it's because i'm irrational, of course.>>>

But of course! Thats very true.

Within *our* own little universe, it matters though.

<<<here's an interesting observation i've noticed - though not by scientific means and i can not quantify or verify it... but it seems to be true... that the higher one's intellectual capacity (or IQ) the more complex the theories and explanations must be to validate meaning and purpose in life. take for example, the question, "what is happiness?" a child or an imbecile may answer, "it's when i laugh." a dog may show you by wagging it's tail. a nerd like me will just type this ------> :) ...but a PhD in theology or psychology will write an entire thesis or a book explaining not only what happiness is but what its role is in the divine plan or how it fits in to the theory
of evolution.>>>

Did you shave this morning? Was Occam's razor sharp enough? And will you edit my thesis as well?

<<<i know that you have a very high intellectual capacity to understand much more complex explanations of what 'understanding' is than i do and it would be foolish and futile for me to debate these equations with you.>>>

Are you saying mad Indian women have zero chance of discussions with you?

<<<the only way i can challenge you fairly in a contest of the understanding of 'understanding' is through my actions...not through my words. it is in the way i live life, not in the way i explain life. and that follows for the dog and the scorpion and the bee. watch us live. do we live in harmony with the natural law of the universe? or do we fight natural law? are we happy? or at least content with life?>>>

But thats *precisely* what I have been saying! Live with nature. Observe nature. Interpret nature. The point where we differed <i think?> was that i believe we should nuke all humans that are not live in harmony with nature.....

<<<horse hockey, i say. nature itself is comprised of all the forces it needs to maintain its balance. an imbalance, or shall i say, a weakness or excess of strength of force in any area is always countered by an opposing strength or weakness somewhere. you will see it if you look at it on a grand enough scale. the universe is always in the process of going away from or going toward a state of equilibrium and the further it gets from equilibrium, the stronger the force becomes that will return it toward equilibrium. and though this dynamic system at any given point in time or space appears to always be out of balance, if you sum the entirety of time and space and bring that into the equation you will see that the universe is actually a dynamic system in perfect balance.>>>

Of course! Of course! Of course! And thank you for seeing my way. I just was hoping that nature would spare me the rod in her attempt to balance out things. I don't wanna die yet!

If mankind becomes too experimental, too demanding, the only way nature can react is by wiping us out. Aids, cancer, earthquakes, volcanos are the result of nature balancing population explosion and our abuse of the environment. HELP ME LIVE!

<<<all mankindhas to do is also "go about being itself". if mankind gets out of line with natural law so far that it puts undue burdens on the earth or other life forms, mankind will perish. the universe will not perish and life will not perish... ever thang gonna bee owl rat.>>>

Thank you for seeing it my way again. Its just what we DON'T seem to be doing, isn't it?

<<<have i spread enough of my bullshit to confuse you yet? i hope so, because it's all i have for now. and i hope stephen hawking is not reading this amateur attempt at explaining the physical laws of the universe. <vbg>
now stop drawing me into these deep philosophical debates or i shall be forced to resort to clip art or motorcycle maintenance instead of pseudo-science and buffoonery to stay up with you. do you know anything about quantum mechanics or metaphysics? i can bullshit pretty good along
those lines if i have to>>>

Whaddya have there? <g>

<looks up at her with happy eyes, pants and wags his tail

let's go home mommy, i'm hungry, and i could use a nap.>>>

Ok, but you'll have to promise to wash your hands off this dirt....<g>

I'm glad you spent more time typing this stuff out rather
than an anti-thesis.

It was most enlightening.

I like when you do stuff like that.

You must be back in tune with nature.
Your thoughts for the past few days have been described
well and thoroughly enjoyable.

In regards to your other post that included a link to Brian
Green's superstring theory...

I attempted to read his book about it a few years back.
Much of it went over my head but I recall he had the
additional supernatural ability to explain quantum physics
and other scientific theory in laymans terms.

For you eggheads with nothing to read:

At one time I think he was on tour with a string quartet or
an orchestra where he would explain stuff to the
audience. It was very interesting. Caught a little bit of
it on the CBS Sunday Morning show I think it was. It was
much more entertaining than you would ever expect.

And I almost felt smarter after watching.
But that was a while ago and I've forgotten everything I
learned from it.

But it felt good to be held up above the pond water as he
spoke to me.
