Maybe there's a recognition that there are mining problems to be ironed out? On the other hand, on a year to date basis (not a long time frame I admit) Barrick is ahead of its competitors - except WMC which is marginally better. Interesting because over a longer time frame Anglo has been the clear leader. This in spite of the Blanchard law suit and all of the flack about hedging. So market players could be a little more savvy than some of the nay sayers who float in and out of here? quicken.com
