It's a baseline case - It won't happen because the price will go up enough to reduce consumption.
However, it 's useful for seeing how deep a hole we are in, and how fast we are still digging.

I think it is serious analysis, and his projections for the shorter term have been incredibly accurate. I assume in the case of such a squeeze all interruptible contracts would be interrupted. Also, there wpould be gas rationing. Homeowners would be required to cut year-on-year consumption by a certain percentage (this happened back in the 1970s).

I don't know how fast additional drilling can be mobilized but if gas is fetching $12 it would be as fast as possible. The reponse was incredible two years ago.
