<We gotta enough Socialists> Like a lot of the Middle East, the Israelis flirted with Socialism during the Cold War. But they have now abandoned that. Their economy is already intimately integrated into the U.S. economy. Israel is no more socialist than Massachussetts or Wisconsin. It's an easy fit, economically, culturally, politically. Easier, actually, than when the U.S. annexed Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, California.
