Nice! Those folks at commondreams.org (which is generally considered off-limits, BTW) must really be frustrated. I'm surprised that they didn't get "war-mongering military-industrial Dupont-Boeing-Taco Bell Chihuahua Evil Lobbyist's Union #483" into the first three paragraphs. Refreshing to see that nothing's changed since your absence. We still: Tune in, Turn on and Burn out in the Iraqi reign.

"<<.The Unbalanced Hawks at the Washington Post ..What is going on at the Washington Post?

We would say that the Post editorial pages have become an outpost of the Defense Department -- except that there is probably more dissent about the pending war in Iraq in the Pentagon than there is on the Post editorial pages.

In February alone, the Post editorialized nine times in favor of war, the last of those a full two columns of text, arguing against the considerable critical reader response the page had received for pounding the drums of war...

Scott,

Your fanatacism is well noted.

Q: How do you recognize a fanatic?

A: Someone who discredits or discounts any source that supports a position they disagree with (especially when they are world class papers - as opposed to crack pot web sites)

Taking on the Washington Post as a biased news source or outpost of DoD is like... Fox claiming they are the center.

With all the generally well accepted concept of liberal bias in the media, this comes out like Hillary's 'massive right wing conspiracy' theory (ie lunatic).

BTW - I find the liberal bias of the media is generally just a byproduct of the liberal arts education received by most reporters and NOTHING more. There is the occasional ideological editor (eg Raines), but news is news.

Maybe for balance we should start discussing Raines again (yech) or maybe recruit a blogger as far right as you are left to post from equally inane (and they do exist) sites claiming equally wierd stuff.
