I really haven't a clue as to what that means as a response to my post that --->Hell is a fiction ?Message 18662916 You may love the writings of the Jew on this matter , or the later Christian theologians and scribes, or even Dante's inferno , and I have only seen you here bring up theories and vague apocrypha to validate it's existence. (Jesus was certainly in love with this "Hell" idea, and it's use as a tool to scare the "Heck" out of people !) It is one of many of the weaker "inventions" of the well meaning ? Certainly has no "divine" or cosmological significance to me , other than an interesting mythical image like Hades , The Boatman Charon , Elysian Fields and all the rest. I was in one way still , trying to offer you a little bit of a foundation for a "hell" in "reality" at least as a metaphor , though a very poor and useless one at that. The idea of "Hell" that is. I wrote :And this is quite easily understood , when one observes the wild nature from out which we came . To repeat this story of "original sin " and "hell" , from out of some superstitious past collection of myths , but does nothing to improve our current understanding of ourselves, except paint an easy picture for those in who's minds have no ability to focus long enough to draw their own conclusion about themselves. So must have story-books from which to live. Hell is a fiction and a useless "theory" you and many still seem to be enamoured with , yet I see you only fumbling around in confusion , clinging to and futilely explaining away and repeating by "rote", as if it had some real meaning . It is absurd as the phrase "fear God". Not to say though , there is within our capabilities also to act in ways of extreme self sacrifice without thought of ourselves and endure great hardship for the sake of others . Yes it may be rare , but happens all the time in many manifestations and also part of something very special in our nature , from out of love of nature, and life itself.
