My friend, I have been rich and "poor", done my taxes in different years from $25,000 - $400,000 and guess what? I paid about the same percentage at both ends, thanks to the many write-offs allowed the wealthy when you invest, create jobs and spend your money. Lowering taxes on the rich is just a gift to them now. They dont need it and many dont want it. They already do just fine and dont need help.

When you're a middle-class wager-earner they just take it out of your paycheck upfront and you're lucky if you get anything back. 50% of tax-payers under Bush will get about $100 back, 25% will get about $1000 and the top 1% will get $100,000 or much more. Bill Gates will get tens of millions.

Yeah, I have done some homework on this. And experienced it at both ends. In Europe tax rates for the rich are as high as 90%. The rich have it easy here.

Also the Bush tax cuts for the rich sock it to charities and actually DISCOURAGE creation of jobs because if the government isn't giving you a 50% discount for spending why bother? Just put it in a hedge fund.
