Tench Re...Z, so you think that the inclusion of God in the Pledge is unconstitutional because it somehow "forces" a religion on our schoolchildren. Meanwhile, it's clear to me that Michael Newdow wants to force atheism onto schoolchildren, starting with his own daughter.

I agree with you 100%. By taking God out, the government is disavowing religion. Frankly, I am a non practicing Catholic. While I don't go to church regularily, I wouldn't mind if my children did, or at least, lived according to religious principles. OUr law is based upon religious principles, so if you follow one, you should be okay with the other.

The other point is that just being offended shouldn't be a basis for lawsuits. We all get offended everyday, to some degree. So what. Get over it. There are far more serious things the courts should be dealing with.
