Kerry sure seems to be a sock puppet for Kennedy.

Kerry has no chance. If Bush is vulnerable, Hillary will swoop in and grab all Kerry's money. And she won't take him for VP. If Bush is not perceived as vulnerable, he'll crush whoever emerges from the gang of nine. Lieberman and Gephardt are far ahead of Kerry for that honor at this point.

Kerry hasn't been in Kennedy's shadow in a long time. You're living in the past. Kerry is almost 60 years old now, a veteran Senator with his own accomplishments much apart from Ted Kennedy. He is now a much bigger and more important voice than Kennedy. Kerry leads the party in areas that Ted Kennedy isn't even involved in. Ten-fifteen years ago you may have had a point but no longer.

People change, can successfully change and should be allowed to change with the times. Haven't we all? Bush Sr. for instance was once a moderate and pro-choice. Bush Sr. attacked Reagan's "voodoo ecocomics" which is the same economic poison his son is forcing on us now. Bush Sr. was right about choice and voodoo economics, but he sure has changed.

Kerry has already changed a lot as he's become a national candidate. He cares about what people think in Utah and Mississippi and Missouri and Arizona, etc. He is the #1 proponent of veteran's rights along with McCain. He is running to be ALL of our president, not just for the few and liberal. Thus, Kerry will appeal to most moderates and some conservatives.

Bush ran as a moderate in 2000 but changed into a hard right-winger after gaining power. That was dishonest. Kerry will not bait and switch like this. He will tell you the truth and uphold his promises. You'll see.
