I was just using it as an introduction to my point that this knee-jerk aversion to the weak dollar is misplaced. I believe the positives far outweigh any negatives. But most people only want to discuss how bad things are today and the dollar is now making the lists of things to worry about. Too bad.

We're here to make money in the financial markets. And a weak dollar is bad for financial markets.

I'd call my strong correlation with a negative event much more important than your weak correlation with a positive event.

Stop to consider this while formulating your argument: a weak dollar is very closely correlated with inflation. Inflation is also correlated with rising profit margins. Most of the time, though, this growth is nominal, not real.
