Sorry I didn't get to read this post before my somewhat hyperbolic response to your second post.

I appreciate your prompt withdrawal, and I withdraw my somewhat snide comments about you.

Welcome to the thread.

P.S. Yeah, the Smoking Gun is a really neat site.

Here's the URL to the hope page.

thesmokinggun.com

They have featured documents which change every few days, sometimes more often. But the archives are also fascinating. Just click on the Archive button and enjoy. They are a fantastic source of original documents for all sorts of controversial issues, plus a whole lot of just plain fun gossipy items, like the things some of the stars demand in their contracts for their performances. (For example, Paul McCartney won't allow any furniture made of animal skin or animal print, even if artificial fabrics. thesmokinggun.com Also, he is very fond of flowers. His must have six 6 foot full and leafy (not trees!) floor plants and two full and leafy four foot plants. Plus some very specific things he wants in floral arrangements. thesmokinggun.com

Personally, I think it's kind of fun from time to time to peer in on these demands. Some are pretty kinky. Many require, for example, not just bottled water but specific brands of bottled water cooled to specific temperatures. Talk about tempermental!

Anyhow, it's a really fun site. It and Snopes are two of my favorite recreational sites.

"It does appear that they were causing a disturbance and the mall was correct in asking them to leave."

I wish everyone would stand up for our efforts to bring the bully Saddam to justice. However, from the written reports of the Mall security, I think the T-shirt wearers may have a case.

The Mall security gaurd reports that the T-shirt wearers were "stopping" shoppers, and that he asked them to remove or cover the shirts. The two things don't go together. I have a feeling that the shirts were drawing attention and comments all by themselves. If so, who was causing the disturbance? The anti-antiwar people, the anti-war people, or the T-shirts.

The security people had one responsibility and that was to secure the mall against any disruption of the peace. It looks like they did that. I bet T-shirt sales will sky rocket over he weekend and we will see them everywhere.
