If you get Merrill Lynch research, take a look at David Rosenberg's Jan. 17th piece on the dollar. Especially look at the section on earnings.



Bottom line: we find no statistical relationship between movements in the trade weighted dollar and core CPI inflation (see Table 2), though there is a substantial positive impact on corporate profits.
