I disagree. I can think of only three reasons for the move. Either they had a bad audio track on the translator (doubtful, since if Dan could hear the translation, the microphone must also have), or taken the position that their viewers were too ignorant to understand what was really going on and needed an Arabic accent to prompt them, or they made the decision to massage the "piece" (as they called it) for aesthetic reasons, like making a movie. The latter two are insane, IMHO. But then, I think Rather interviewing Saddam in the first place was nuts.
