Now you can pick and choose which is created by Clinton prosperity and which is not. You don't get it, do you? Even Gore bragged about his influence on Internet. Here are Clinton's States of the Union addresses hyped up Internet.

excerpts of 1997 address --
"Let's work together to meet these three goals: Every 8-year-old must be able to read; every 12-year-old must be able to log on to the INTERNET;..."
"Tenth: We must bring the power of the Information Age into all our schools. Last year, I challenged America to connect every classroom and library to the INTERNET by the year 2000,..."
"To prepare America for the 21st century we must harness the powerful forces of science and technology to benefit all Americans. This is the first State of the Union carried live in video over the INTERNET..."
"Our effort to connect every classroom is just the beginning. Now, we should connect every hospital to the INTERNET,..."
"We must build the second generation of the INTERNET so that our leading universities and national laboratories can communicate in speeds 1,000 times faster than today,..."
"But we cannot stop there. As the INTERNET becomes our new town square, a computer in every home..."

excerpts of 1998 address --
" We must give parents the tools they need to help protect their children from inappropriate material on the Net, but we also must make sure that we protect the exploding, global commercial potential of the INTERNET..."
"For one thing, I ask Congress to step up support for building the next generation INTERNET. It's getting kind of clogged, you know. And the next generation INTERNET will operate at speeds up to a thousand times faster than today..."

excerpts of 1999 address --
"With over $1 billion in discounts available this year, we are well on our way to our goal of connecting every classroom and library to the INTERNET..."
"We must strengthen our lead in technology. It was government investment that led to the creation of the INTERNET. I propose a 28-percent increase in long-term computing research..."

excerpts of 2000 address --
"We know we must connect all our classrooms to the INTERNET, and we're getting there..."
"And 90 percent of our schools have at least one INTERNET connection..."
"Many of them have walls and wires so old, they're too old for the INTERNET..."
"I want to begin by thanking the entertainment industry for accepting my challenge to put voluntary ratings on TV programs and video and INTERNET games..."
"Connecting classrooms and libraries to the INTERNET is crucial, but it's just a start..."
