My comprehension of history is a result of having friends and family who are Jewish, working class, black, and other constituencies of the Democratic Party, and knowing how they think about things. It does not help,for example, that so many Dixiecrats became Republican; it does not help when the Moderator of the Southern Baptist Convention says openly that God does not hear the prayers of Jews; and it does not help when someone like you jumps all over fellow conservatives for being sensitive to such issues......
