i personally think those Intel results are even worse than advertised.

consider that Intel gets +/- 25% of its revenue from EU, +/- 10% from Japan, and +/- 30% from Asia/Pac (presumably mostly Taiwan & Korea).

my eyeballing of currency charts shows the Euro up 20% on average Q1 over Q1, the Yen up 12%, and the Baht up 2-3%. i don't have a chart for the Korean currency. anyway, all else equal, Intel's revenue in the Q1 should be up +8-10% year-year based on currency alone. and they are saying pretty much flat.

where is the corporate spending recovery??
