Well, frankly, since all 3 of the BIG 3 dealing with Saddam, (Russia, France, Germany) in that order of business magnitude are against us, I see NO REASON to force the Iraqui's or even suggest to them that they honor previous committments from Saddam. I understand they were charging Iraq up to 3 TIMES the value of services and goods provided (presumable the EXCESS was for SUPPORT in the event anything like what is now being proposed occurred). Also, I find it IRONIC that any of the above would REALLY be against WMD since they provided them to the Dictator. I have to believe Saddam does too which is why he is playing out his hand like this presuming the above 3 will stop our invasion. JDN
