Actually, Bush I and other members of his administration, are now saying they stopped short of Baghdad because they feared the trouble that would be caused by the dissolution of Iraq into it's constituent ethnic parts. They thought we would get bogged down for decades as a 'colonial' ruler of Iraq, and would be responsible for keeping it together and defending it's territory from the neighbors.... >>> Pretty weak, really.... The Bush's should get together and get their stories straight.
