Regardless, they are spooked.

I don't argue with the market's psyche anymore. I used to, but clearly spooked investors are spooked investors, no matter if they are right or wrong. Either way, it takes time to reverse the damage.

ORCL missed earnings once, about 6 years ago. That's when I bought, because it was a clear case of missed opportunities by the investing public. I sold most of it at around 90 (45 split adjusted). I still have a bunch at about a price of 5.
Point is, ORCL's miss wasn't really an issue. The issue is that investors got spooked. I could've put that money to good use in the year it took ORCL to come back. I'm still glad I made the investment, but it was tough to hold it through the hard times.

We'll all be happy in a few years, I'm sure. Right now, it just pays to sit tight, and wait for buying opportunities.

Buffett is good, but he's been wrong before, too. I think the market has a ways to go before it begins a long term uptrend, but buying now is not a bad thing if you have a long term outlook. Just don't expect to be even in the next few months.
