You don't need any women because the idea that there is a "woman's viewpoint" is inimical to the basic principle of journalistic objectivity. I've never bought into the notion of a woman's viewpoint so you can't get to me on that point. You need a few women in the room to get the guys to behave. And a few evangelicals to get the seculars to behave. But you don't need fifty some percent women and forty percent evangelicals. Surely, if the evangelicals comprise forty percent of the population, there are at least a few of them in the newsroom.
