Sorry, I don't follow. I think it's not too controversial to affirm that Hitler had a real military, and was a danger. You may be thinking of the supposed restrictions on him earlier, pre-Rhineland takeover? (well done if you did recall that <g>). But at that point, the rest of the world was militarily very weak - Europe in particular was racked by depression and its aftermath, and very torn. The situation wasn't comparable to today's - even without the fact that ~1/2 of Iraq is under effective interdict.
