North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Cuba, whoever else. Yes all of these countries are more or less troublesome and dangerous, but don't you see that a new Bush Logic is being established with 9-11 as the fundamental excuse, that even if a country just MIGHT be a threat, SOMEDAY, MAYBE, if-if-if maybe-maybe-maybe we are not only entitled but compelled to use our forces to take them out with extreme prejudice. I realize Saddam and others could be dangerous, maybe someday if-if-if, but Bush seems to not care who differs with his stark black+white view of things, no matetr how many alliances we damage, millions of people protesting, many thousands killed, UN resistance he encounters. He seems DRIVEN to conquer. 9-11 seems to have turned Bush into a self-proclaimed ultimate avenger. He states he hates war, but I wonder. Look how it empowers him, gives him clarity amidst the increasing turmoil around us all. He strikes me now as possibly having lost it. As if the empowerment of war might lead to a form of madness. I supported Bush on Afganistan and getting very tough with Al Qaida and any nation haboring them. That we have the moral right to demand from the world. And I agree Saddam is a possible menace to his neighbors. Someday again, maybe. But this war and the others that may follow is Bush is empowered, they're just dangerous, costly, divisive and potentially could make the US not the terrorists the most feared and hated people in the world. But Bush doesn't care. Or does he? It would appear not. As John Kerry says, we would go to war because we HAVE to not because the President WANTS to. That's a big difference. And meanwhile our economy and the world's gets more and more pressured with no end in sight. Tell me, at what point are these wars not worth it? Ever? Global depression worth it? The cost of this war alone could fund half a prescription drug program, health care for millions, conversion to hydrogen energy, many-many great things. So you tell me if this is worth it, because I really doubt it. Bush really confounds, frustrates and even scares me these days. Much more than Saddam scares me, which is very little.
