Just one counter argument: the "Euros" have caught many more terrorists in their countries than the USA.

As far as catching actual terrorists, JJ, I think the Police in Europe have done a great job. They usually work without regard to the Politicians in power. Terrorists are criminals, and Police in any country like to catch them.

But don't forget that Europe has been a spawning ground for these people. You have, what is it up to what now, 15% of the population, as Muslims? We have hardly any in comparison. And it is easier for us to keep the terrorists out.

People are constantly writing features, columns, and posts here expressing surprise at our Administrations "hard line" attitude toward countries supporting us. Bush was very outspoken right from the start. You are either with us or against us in this war. Just because it has different facets, Terrorist gangs and Harboring countries, for instance, does not change our attitude.

Just one counter argument: the "Euros" have caught many more terrorists in their countries than the USA. Not worthwhile to counter the rest.

Three cheers for Interpol. But it's not the police work Sullivan is faulting, but the politicians' attitude toward the government that fund and spread terror.
