The "grudge", I believe comes from this: Greeks remembered the times when they were conquered by, and lived under, the Ottoman Empire (Turks), and Turks remembered the time when Greeks invaded western Anatolia after WWI and killed quite a few Turks until they were defeated.

Anyway, the "grudge" does not seem to be a problem re EU now.

And maybe there are still some Dardan descendents living in west Anatolia

Dardan = Trojan

Are you really saying there may be a Trojan ethnic minority in Turkey? :-)
